Panelling

On both the back and front cover we have decided to panel and split up the images.

On the front cover we will have the band sitting on a bench and this image will then be split off centre with a white gap left.

On the back cover we will have three separate images all with white gaps between them, we will have the band sitting on the bench in different places and positions this is similar to all over Kook CD albums, we will then have the bands feet and the key band member in two different images.

We have chosen to do this to our CD album as the Kooks are an indie band that like to isolate themselves from mainstream media in their music and this then transpires onto their look and products. Therefore we made sure that our digipack didn't resemble a main stream product. By this panelling it has chopped up the front and back cover making it seem disjointed and choppy resembling there indie feel and distance from mainstream music. Also the word 'Kook' means a crazy or eccentric person through the panelling and splitting up of images portrays an eccentric vibe.

This therefore means that our product fits directly into the indie genre whilst also resembling the Kooks as a band but without completely copying the Kook CD albums, we have managed to keep the Kook ethos but change it slightly.
